The millions of objects in the collection of the New Zealand Maritime Museum Hui Te Ananui a Tangaroa carry the stories of Aotearoa’s deep-rooted maritime history. Medals and models, paintings and pigeon-grams, ships and scrimshaw, and things sure to surprise, can be viewed here. Join us on the voyage by bookmarking the page to check for regular additions. There are currently 7500+ items published on the online collection, and the count continues to grow. Some objects/records are more detailed than others, and some may contain errors. We strive for increased access to collections and welcome input from the public.
