Description
Campaign medal awarded to Captain Richard Bateman Speary. Description: bronze six pointed star, 43mm diameter with a ring suspender and grosgrain ribbon. Obverse: the Royal cypher ‘GRI’ with ‘VI’ below; the cypher is surmounted by a crown on a circlet with the title ‘THE 1939-1945 STAR’. The reverse is plain. Ribbon: grosgrain, 32mm wide, with dark blue, red and light blue stripes.
