Description
Campaign medal awarded to Captain Richard Bateman Speary. Description: bronze six pointed star, 43mm diameter with a ring suspender and grosgrain ribbon. Obverse: the Royal cypher ‘GRI’ with ‘VI’ below; the cypher is surmounted by a crown on a circlet with the title ‘THE ATLANTIC STAR’. The reverse is plain. Ribbon: grosgrain, 32mm wide, with with shaded dark blue, white and sea green stripes.
