Description
RMS REMUERA (1911) departing Auckland for London. A dark plume of exhaust is coming out of her single funnel. Part of a pulley is visible at the lefthand side of the picture.

Foss Tackaberry was an engineer with the Auckland Harbour Board. He became the foreman of works on the waterfront. He retired mid 1960s but was re-hired to oversee the floating of the dredge HAPAI.
