Close-up view of SS PLEIDON's deck and superstructure as she discharges oil at Western Wharf. Funnel emitting smoke in the background and a large pipe is coiled on the wharf in the foreground.

Foss Tackaberry was an engineer with the Auckland Harbour Board. He became the foreman of works on the waterfront. He retired mid 1960s but was re-hired to oversee the floating of the dredge HAPAI.
