Description
A photograph of Queens Wharf from the Tower circa 1893 showing the old wharf barricade. A thoroughfare in the centre with pedestrian and horse drawn wagons and a loaded dray. The left hand side has several sheds and a large public building with a clock tower. The right hand side shows part of a ship's bow with a derrick and chains protruding over the wharf. There are more commercial buildings on the left. The background has houses on a hillside then open ground and sky. Wellington, circa 1893.
