Short-sleeved beige shirt, manufactured by 'Katies' with buttons, and brass pins with two horizontal black stripes attached to collar.

This constitutes part of the summer khaki uniform worn by crew of the New Zealand Shipping Corporation.
Adapted and worn by Phillippa (Pip) Were during her career as a ship's radio officer.
