Description
The shell is scallop shaped with fine radial ridging; both valves are convex and the hinge is asymmetrical. The base colour is a bright salmon pink. This shell is from a marine bivalve mollusc and the two valves have been separated.
Part of a collection of predominantly Pacific region sea shells and New Zealand seabird eggs collected by Frances Shakespear.
