Description
A silver painted metal oven used as a pie warmer on board TIRI II, which was used to broadcast Radio Hauraki from 1968 to 1970. The oven has a hinged door with two glass panes. Inside it has two adjustable shelves and a round hole in the bottom where hot air from an element or range enters the oven. The front has an unknown triangular logo near the base. The oven was probably originally associated with an oil burning stove.
The vessel was referred to as TIRI II by the radio station crew but it appears the registration was never changed from MV KAPUNI (1909).
