PaperPlus 1B5 Exercise book, blue, green and white cardboard cover. Handwritten title entered into box on cover: Snares Western Chain / Sept - Dec 1995 / Diary.

Entries relate to expedition to the Snares Islands on the yacht TOTORORE, 1 September 1995 to 8 December 1995.

Opening entry, 1 September 1995, " The only sponsor for this voyage was Steve , Elsa's boyfriend, who gave me $500 to help with what he called a good cause".

Entries by Gerry Clark include: daily record of activities on board and ashore. Notes at back of book which are probably an introduction for a publication.

Last entry 27 September 1995, "Totorore already delayed one week by the weather arrived at Snares Islands...,they found that we were too late to record the dates of laying as all nests already had an egg".

Part of a large collection of written and audiovisual resources and equipment which belonged to Gerry Clark; most of which document his voyages in the Southern Ocean.
