The Victory Medal was issued to all those who already qualified for 1914, 1914-15 Stars and to most persons qualified for British War Medal. It is never awarded by itself. It is distinguished by its unique double rainbow ribbon. Often referred to as 'The Allied Victory Medal'.
Obverse: the winged Roman goddess Victoria (Victory). Reverse: 'THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION 1914-1919 .......' surrounded by a laurel wreath.
Name on rim: 38265 CPL. G.H.DAVIS. N.Z.E.F.
