Description

Black and white photograph of TOTOTRORE anchored in a bay with a jetty. The landscape is covered in snow other islands and small icebergs can be seen out to sea.

This sheltered cove at Bird Island,was the base for TOTORORE and crew when working on the engine of the yacht for three days before departing South Georgia after ten weeks of counting Wandering albatross - Diomedea exulans, and other species between 8 August - 22 October 1984.

Part of a large collection of written and audiovisual, photographic resources and equipment which belonged to Gerry Clark; most of which document his voyages in the Southern Ocean.
