Description
Hand-bound manuscript covered with a slipcover made from blue, green, brown and gold textured decorative wallpaper. The covering depicts a four masted sailing ship at wharf and harbour side buildings. The maker's son Robert Hawkins identified the wallpaper as off-cuts from wallpaper used at family home. Book is titled on the facing page as: Kaipara Records, Compiled from the Registers, 1964, Clifford William Hawkins, 19* Aberdeen Rd, Takapuna, *later N. 43.
