Hand-bound manuscript covered with slipcover made from blue, green, brown and gold textured decorative wallpaper depicting four masted sailing ship at wharf and harbour side buildings, and additional cover of tracing paper.

Book is titled on facing page as: Hokianga Records, Extracts from the Hokianga Harbour, Harbour Records, 1886 - 1924, Clifford W. Hawkins.

Entries in pencil on lined pages, entries handwritten in pencil across two pages facing each other, listing "inwards" by date order. Tables arranged as: year, date, vessel name, Captain name or owner, where travelled from, steam: Tons, Crew, Sail: Tons, Crew, port going to?, and what carried onboard.
