Description
Skandia 5 horsepower engine, model 31 B. Swedish manufacturer. A hot bulb oil engine, with a brass kerosene blow lamp attached as a starting method. Main body of engine is cast iron painted grey. Fitted with an external oil reservoir and pump with four tubes to lubrication point. The crankshaft has a large external flywheel, a large exhaust pipe painted is open to the air for the engine exhaust. These engines were often found on Scandinavian fishing boats.
