Description
Box "51-100" contains 50 lantern glass plate slides. The slides were part of an Auckland Harbour Board presentation, this one is part two of a presentation on the proposed Export Wharf. The slides show various wharf machinery, elevator trucks, electric travelling lever-balanced luffing jib cranes, pillar cranes, brownhoist ore buckets and moveable car dumpers. They also show workers who worked in highly industrialised conditions at Victorian wharves and the working conditions at the wharves and warehouses.
