Description
A small brass medal belonging to Edward William Wilson. The medal is in the shape of a ships wheel. On one side is an engraving of a ship, most probably SS TANGAROA. On the other side reads "STRIKE 1913// S.S. TANGAROA// E.W. WILSON". These medals were presented to the SS TANGAROA crew who went on strike in 1913. However, Edward Wilson did not crew TANGAROA but worked at the Gisborne port.
