Description
Framed artwork titled "The Instigators', created in 1999 by Marie E. Potter of an open book and scroll featuring information on Team New Zealand 1995 and Peter Blake. Artist has signed the work on the bottom right hand corner.

Statement from the artist written on the back of the artwork: "This work was inspired by "The Instigators" Team N.Z. who won the America's Cup in San Diego in 1995. I have created pages that record the 1995 team, Black Magic, America's Cup historical dates and the celebration of Sir Peter Blake's knighthood. Little did I know when I created this work in 1999 when we successfully defended the cup, that the path of history would take so many indelible twists and turns".
