Object detail

Description
The model has one small sailing vessel in the foreground and 8 houses plus a lighthouse in the background. Ornamental knotting around bottle top. Model made by Rudolph Finderup for his son Albert George Finderup who served in PAMIR 1944-45 (information from Albert Finderup 14/5/1997). Check of the crew lists for PAMIR show that Bert Finderup was a deck boy and he was on voyages 7 and 8. PAMIR sailed from Wellington to Vancouver on both these voyages between September 1945 and October 1946.
