Object detail

Description
Plastic netmakers needle in suitcase of riggers tools. This strange object is a needle for making and mending fishing nets. Nets have been used for thousands of years throughout the world, and it is likely that needles such as this one have been around for just as long. Originally, net needles were probably made of bone, but more recently of wood and other materials.
