Description
Nettie with small herd of cattle, Waipapa Point. Photographer's caption: "More cattle with garage and store shed in background. Cattle did very well here especially Aberdeen Angus and Herefords. We made about $1500.00 over the year out of them. 'Nettie' the boxer was useless with stock but was sheep proof. I had to shoot our blue heeler cattle dog because he was fascinated by sheep - a tough decision as I loved that dog."
Murray Williscroft was a lighthouse keeper, who, along with his wife Ventris worked on a number of stations around New Zealand in the 1950s-60s.
