A copy of a black and white photograph of Lambton Harbour and Thorndon before the first reclamation, showing Hobson Street. A residential area with houses and trees and a road on the left running towards the sea. Beyond is a harbour with several ships moored in the stream. Across the water in the distance is a hill with houses on the lower slopes. On the lower left corner are the words "360 Wellington". On the lower right corner are the words "Burton Bros., Dunedin". Wellington, circa 1890.
