The log covers the expeditions visit to the west coast of Southern Chile on the Pacific Ocean, this period covers the journey from Bird Island towards Cape Horn.
Entries begin on the date 3 October 1984; "was ready to push off in the dinghy into the surf, I had a small problem, a rather large problem really in the form of nearly submerged elephant seal bull in the narrow channel only 10 meters from the beach".
Part of a large collection of written and audiovisual resources and equipment which belonged to Gerry Clark; most of which document his voyages in the Southern Ocean.
