Description
Small illustrated book with blue cover, titled: Lifeboat Equipment, Barang Barang Didalam Bot, by Capt. G.S. Clark (Gerry Clark), M.I.N, Malay translation by, Capt. Salleh Bin Lembot, Chinese translation by Lee Yean Hoe. Printed by Chong Nam Press Ltd. Singapore. Not dated, but would have been published between 1947-1958, duration of Gerry Clark's employment with Straits Steamship company, before emigrating to New Zealand in 1958.

Book contains illustrated drawing with label and explanations of components relating to lifeboats, use of flares, compass. Description of food on board, tying knots and parts of the lifeboat. Each informational drawing is named and an explanation in English, Malay, and Chinese language on the facing page.

Book authored and owned by Gerry Clark, produced during his time In Singapore as an Assistant Marine Superintendent with the Straits Steamship Co, as Master Mariner, between 1947 - 1953.
