Black and white photograph of RANGI (1905) with a load of timber logs on the deck, passing the Auckland Harbour Board building and wharves, with derrick cranes visible. Waitematā Harbour, 1937.

A handwritten annotation on the verso has print layout ratios and reads: "Rangi, 1937".

Cliff Hawkins travelled on the scow RANGI (1905) a timber cargo scow, in 1934 at the age of twenty years and again in 1936. He documented the trips in journals, logs and in photographs taken on his Kodak 'Box Brownie' camera.
