Description
Black and white photograph of four men suspended on planks, roped over the side of the ships hull [RANGITATA (1929)]. They are possibly painting or undertaking maintenance on the ship. Buckets are visible at the end of rope lines beneath them.

A handwritten caption on the verso of the photograph, reads: "Painting [Garlic] with Rangitata" 22 January 1954", and also has printers instructions "MM, 6, p 8". And a black ink address stamp of Cliff Hawkins, impressed on the verso.
