Description
Liverpool pilot cutter in a Dimple Haig bottle given to Hobson Wharf by the National Museums and Galleries on Mersyside. The ship has the sails up and is rounding the number 2 buoy. Turks head is on the cork. "The model was built by Mr Dennis Newton and is a scale representation of the Liverpool pilot cutter number 2 - TEASER - of 1846. She had a gross tonnage of 44 tons and was built at Ipswich in 1841 and sold out of the Liverpool service for fishing in the Shetland Islands in 1856."
